Screening and intake.
A confidential review of your history, medications, and health so we can confirm this is safe for you. It is also where trust starts.
One preparation session.
A sit-down to talk through what you want from the day and what to expect. A clear intention is the single biggest predictor of a good journey, so you never walk in cold.
One private journey at 20mg, 5-8 hours.
A full, genuine experience just below the standard clinical full dose, delivered one-on-one. The five hours is the Colorado-required minimum for this dose and gives the experience room to complete.
One integration session.
A conversation afterward to turn the experience into something usable. The journey opens the door; integration is where change gets built into your life.
Safe transportation plan.
Arranged before you dose. You will not drive after a session, so we handle it in advance.
Screening and intake.
The same rigorous, confidential health and medication review. Your safety baseline.
2 preparation sessions.
Time before each journey to set intentions and adjust based on the first experience. The second journey is smarter because we plan it around what the first one showed us.
Journey 1, private, 15mg calibration, 5-8 hours.
A real but measured first dose that lets us see how your body and mind handle the medicine. This is the same first step used in the veteran research.
Journey 2, private, 25mg full-dose, 5-8 hours.
The dose used in the published research, delivered once we know how you respond.
2 integration sessions.
One after each journey. Two journeys means two chances to turn insight into daily life, and we do not waste either.
Safe transportation plan.
Handled for both journey days.
Comprehensive screening and intake
Full cardiac, medication, and history review. The most thorough entry, because this program often serves the most complex situations, plus a private baseline to track progress across all three journeys.
Extended preparation.
Multiple private sessions before the first journey and adjustments before each one after. Three journeys deserve a plan that evolves with you.
Journey 1, private, 15mg calibration, 5-8 hours.
The safe read.
Journey 2, private, 25mg full-dose, 5-8 hours.
The full working dose.
Journey 3, private, 25mg full dose, 5-8 hours, with a clinically guided option to adjust.
If your earlier journeys were blunted, a common effect of some antidepressants, your facilitator may adjust this dose, always within Colorado's legal limits and only on clinical judgment. If a dose did not reach you, repeating the same one is pointless. This is how we make sure the third journey lands.
Longest aftercare tail.
The most extended follow-up and integration support we offer, with structured check-ins out to six months. Durable change needs a long tail, and this is where it gets consolidated.
Priority scheduling.
First access to journey dates and facilitator time. When you are ready, you should not have to wait.
Full progress tracking.
Private, measured check-ins across the whole arc, the complete record of your own progress.
Safe transportation plan.
Handled for all 3 journey days.
Yes. Under Proposition 122, adults 21 and over can access psilocybin at state-licensed healing centers with licensed facilitators. It remains illegal under federal law, so services are in person only and self-pay.
No. There is no residency requirement. Adults 21 and over from any state can take part. Only the journey itself must happen in Colorado; screening, preparation, and integration can often be done remotely.
Yes, and many people do. Plan for a short stay in the Denver area around your journey. Our team helps you map out timing so the trip is simple and you make as few trips as possible.
This is a personal decision, and we cannot speak to your individual situation. What is publicly known: the VA does not currently provide psilocybin, and it remains illegal under federal law. VA disability compensation is generally based on your service-connected condition, and public VA guidance ties eligibility to things like the character of your discharge and your disability rating, not to disclosing lawful participation in a state-regulated program. Many veterans still have questions about what to share with their VA provider. If this matters to your circumstances, the safest step is to speak with a Veterans Service Organization or a VA-accredited representative, many of whom help at no cost. We are glad to point you toward those resources.
Yes. Your participation is private, and we do not contact or notify your employer or department. Like any healthcare-adjacent provider, we keep your records confidential and follow the privacy obligations set out in Colorado's Natural Medicine rules. What we cannot do is speak to your specific workplace's drug policies, since those vary by department and agency, and psilocybin remains illegal under federal law. If your role carries drug testing or disclosure requirements, we would encourage you to review your own department's policy or your union representative before you decide. If privacy is critical to your situation, our fully private program is built with exactly that in mind, and you are welcome to talk it through with us directly.
Sometimes. Research suggests SSRIs and similar medications can blunt psilocybin's effects, and some medications are not compatible at all. Never stop a medication on your own. Our screening reviews this with you, in coordination with your prescriber.
Maybe, and it is worth a conversation. Heavy daily drinking is a safety matter, because stopping suddenly on your own can be dangerous, so we screen for it and, when needed, work with you and a medical professional before scheduling. Sometimes that means waiting until it is safe. This is not addiction treatment, and we will point you toward the right care if that is what is needed.
Tell us first. We would rather hear it straight from you. Beyond that, every licensed facilitator and healing center in Colorado answers to the state. Facilitators are licensed through the Department of Regulatory Agencies and can be reported to it, healing centers are licensed and inspected, and serious adverse events must be reported to the state. That oversight exists for every participant, wherever you go.
Screening exists for this reason. A personal or family history of certain conditions such as psychosis or bipolar I, some heart conditions, lithium use, and pregnancy are among the factors we review carefully before anyone proceeds.
Experiences vary. Effects usually begin within about 30 to 40 minutes, then arrive in waves across five to eight hours, with shifting emotions, sensations, and reflection. Your facilitator is with you the entire time.
Most journeys run five to eight hours, depending on the dose and on how your body moves through it. Colorado sets a five-hour minimum for the doses we use, and we never rush the end of a session. Plan for the full day.
Our programs range from $950 to $3,950. Because psilocybin is illegal under federal law, it cannot be billed to the VA, TriCare, or private insurance, so all services are self-pay. We offer veteran and first responder consideration and scholarship pathways.
No. Federal law means these services cannot be billed to the VA or insurance. They are private pay. We can point you toward veteran-focused funding organizations and discuss scholarship options with you.
Ketamine is legal and clinic-based across the country. MDMA-assisted therapy is not yet federally approved. Psilocybin is legally accessible in Colorado through licensed healing centers like ours. Each works differently, and our team is glad to talk through the differences honestly.
Integration is the guided work of making sense of a journey afterward and carrying it into daily life. Insights fade without it, which is why every program includes integration and our deeper programs weight it heavily.
No. Colorado's model does not require a diagnosis or a referral. You do need to complete our screening so we can confirm this is safe and appropriate for you.
No. You will not drive after a session. We arrange safe transportation in advance so you do not have to think about it.
That depends on what you are carrying. One well-supported journey is a full experience and a sound place to begin. Two journeys, a calibration dose then a full dose, is the sequence the research is built on. Three is for those going as deep as we go. The guide on this page will point you toward a fit, and our team will confirm it.
Most of our clients have not. That is exactly what preparation is for. We walk you through what to expect step by step so you go in informed and supported rather than guessing.
Hard moments are a normal part of this work, and you are never alone in them. Your facilitator is trained to stay with you and support you through whatever surfaces, and integration afterward is where we make sense of it together.
Yes. Police, firefighters, EMS, and medical first responders carry cumulative stress that builds over a career, and these programs were built with that in mind alongside combat experience.
Take the short guide on this page, or talk to our team. In general: Basecamp to begin, Double Time for the proven two-journey arc, and Total Coverage for the fullest and most private path.
Cost should not be the reason a veteran or first responder cannot get help. Because psilocybin is illegal under federal law, these programs cannot be billed to the VA or insurance, so they are private pay.
To keep this reachable, we offer veteran and first responder consideration, a limited number of scholarship pathways, and payment options, and we can point you toward veteran-focused funding organizations that support this kind of work.
If cost is standing between you and this, tell us. We would rather have the conversation than have you walk away.
1. What is your screening protocol, and what is your emergency plan?
Ask them to be specific.
Which conditions and medications do they check for?
What happens if something flags?
What is the written plan if a session becomes a medical situation?
Vague reassurance is not an answer.
2. In writing, when is my facilitator acting as a facilitator, and when as a clinician?
If a center markets its licensed clinicians, ask for the document describing exactly when that license applies during your care.
Colorado requires it.
You should read it before you pay.
3. How do you decide who I work with?
Are you paired with someone based on your history and situation, or assigned whoever has the opening?
Ask what happens if it is not a fit.
a legal, licensed, regulated experience with structured preparation and integration around it, delivered privately by trained facilitators, inside a framework the state oversees.
a replacement for care you already have. It does not replace your therapist, your prescriber, your VA care, or crisis services. We will not ask you to stop any of them, and we will never tell you to change a medication on your own.
Natural medicine facilitation is its own regulated service in Colorado. It is not psychotherapy, and it is not medical treatment. Colorado's rules require every participant to receive written disclosures explaining that distinction before a session, including, where a facilitator also holds a clinical license, written documentation of when they are and are not practicing under that license.
Read those documents carefully, here or anywhere else. A clinical credential is worth something real. It widens who a center can safely serve. What it does not do is turn a journey into therapy, and any center telling you otherwise is selling you something.
1. During the session:
Your facilitator is with you one-on-one for the entire journey. Not in the next room. Present, the whole time.
2. Medical escalation:
A written protocol for when a situation moves beyond what facilitation can hold, including when and how we involve emergency medical services.
3. Transportation:
Confirmed before every journey day. No session runs without it, and no one drives afterward.
4. Adverse event reporting:
Colorado requires licensed healing centers to report serious adverse events to the state, some within 24 hours. That obligation holds whether or not it is convenient for us.
5. Afterward:
Integration is not optional in any program. If something surfaced that needs more than we offer, we say so and refer.

Psilocybin-assisted therapy is backed by rigorous clinical research from the world’s leading medical institutions. Here are some of the key studies:
A randomized clinical trial at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine found that two doses of psilocybin, combined with supportive psychotherapy, produced large and rapid reductions in depressive symptoms in adults with major depressive disorder. The effects were four times larger than those typically seen with traditional antidepressants.

A follow-up study tracked participants from the original Johns Hopkins depression trial for a full year. At 12 months, 75% of participants still showed a clinical response, and 58% were in full remission from depression — from just one or two psilocybin sessions.

In a head-to-head trial published in the New England Journal of Medicine, two doses of psilocybin were compared with a 6-week course of escitalopram (a leading SSRI antidepressant) in patients with moderate-to-severe depression. Remission rates were 57% in the psilocybin group versus 28% in the escitalopram group. Psilocybin also showed faster onset of antidepressant effects and fewer side effects including less drowsiness, sexual dysfunction, and dry mouth.

A multi-site, randomized, placebo-controlled Phase 2 trial across 11 U.S. research sites found that a single dose of psilocybin, administered with psychological support, produced rapid and significant antidepressant effects in patients with major depressive disorder compared to placebo.

Researchers at NYU Grossman School of Medicine found that a single dose of psilocybin, combined with psychotherapy, produced immediate, substantial, and sustained reductions in anxiety and depression in patients with life-threatening cancer diagnoses. Approximately 80% of participants showed clinically significant decreases in distress that endured for more than six months.

The U.S. Food & Drug Administration has granted psilocybin “Breakthrough Therapy” designation for treatment-resistant depression. This status is reserved for treatments that demonstrate substantial improvement over existing therapies for serious conditions, and it accelerates the development and review process.
